Welcome to ravings

I know, I know, I hate blogs too. I have literally and metaphorically spit on bloggers before. But this isn't for you and I want you to know that right from the start. Its for me. Call it a public journal where I record things that I learn.  Its purpose? Well, mostly so that I can look back later in my life ( maybe years maybe weeks) with both contempt and appreciation for the process.

Its all about the process. I love the process. Its life. Its living and learning and falling down and owning it. I don't pull punches. Honesty is the keystone to "Ravings." But there is also the matter of perspective. My truth from day to day shifts as does my perspective. And that is the way that it should be. We should all be constantly assessing the minutiae of our lives and reforming the stances, opinions, and beliefs that govern our life. So (again for myself, mostly) I would like to lay out a skeleton (subject to change, obviously) for my posts. A rough structure from which I hope to compile my thoughts into a palatable compendium.

Honesty-I already said it. I believe in telling the truth always. White lies are lies. Omission is dishonest.         (tact is important as well, but since this isn't for anyone in particular, the levels may vary)

Receptivity-If you already know, you don't know. Be flexible. Question your truths. Embrace your                 doubts. Don't ever stop learning and growing. Stagnation is equivalent to death

Inspiration-Anything can be inspiring. If you're seeking inspiration, you'll find it. I openly reject any entity     who claims a monopoly on inspiration, or access to the highest inspiration. If someone tells you they're     the best, they arent. That's not the language that "The Best" uses.

Kindness-Really it's all about being kind. The other points are preludes to becoming a more kind person.         Accept others for who they are. Stop comparing yourself to them. What can you learn from them?

That's pretty much it. I may edit it later to add more thoughts. Lets learn and grow.

EDIT 1: Please add comments or your thoughts on any and all of my posts. I promise to read them, consider them, and if appropriate reply to them.
